DID YOU KNOW?
1. Do you have a car in Spain that you only use sporadically and you do not have it insured all year round?
Did you know that this is ILLEGAL? All registered vehicles in Spain must keep basic third-party insurance all year round to cover against third-party liability. When asked whether it is mandatory to insure my car if I do not use it, the answer is yes, it is mandatory and may result in a fine.
The main reason for this coverage is that, even if the car is not moved, it can cause damage to third parties, such as in the case of an accident, fire or other causes in the garage where it is located.
2. Do you or any family members or friends drive an electric scooter? Did you know you could be liable in case of an accident?
Electric scooters have become a fashionable means of transport in the cities where you can "zoom" around on them without a licence or any gear. However, there have been cases of young teenagers who have caused accidents with these scooters, even resulting in the death of a pedestrian.
You should be aware that as a parent you are liable for the third-party damages your children cause to other people or property.
Are you ready to pay compensation for broken bones, or even the death of someone due to your children´s or even your actions or recklessness?
